Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to read my 'about me' section. Please let me brief you on my background and goals here on Medium. I promise it will be quick.
I have been a researcher for 15 years and spent most of that time in Asia as a foreigner. My professional focus is Asian politics, and I have published related articles in international magazines and journals. Most of my work writing follows stringent analytical principles to provide readers with data-informed, actionable insights.
Behind the scenes and outside of working hours, I informally mentored junior students in my PhD cohort. I am a running enthusiast, having completed multiple marathons and helped others prepare for grueling races. I am also a relentless reader of fantasy, science fiction, and detective novels, no matter how busy days get.
Here on Medium, I hope to write about those off-work topics: running, reading, the ups and downs of a PhD life, and much more. Hopefully, the things I discuss in my posts will be of value to PhD students, fellow runners, and fiction readers. I also welcome constructive feedback on my writing, as this is the craft I care about the most.
Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to sharing this journey with you!
